Our Events
Annual 'Fall Sports' Challenge
Calling all SMM Men! Come with your family or bring your girlfriend to our annual Fall Sports event held outdoors at the Rectory’s Bocce court. Enjoy an afternoon of Bocce, horseshoes, food, fraternity and fun.
Christmas Mass and Dinner
Knights and their wives meet with our Council Chaplain for a Mass. During the Mass, offer our intentions to our brother Knights and their families. Afterward, we celebrate with a Christmas dinner at a local restaurant.
'Keep Christ In Christmas'
Student Essay Contest
Led By our founding Grand Knight, Steve Visek, all 6th graders are invited to share their thoughts on how to 'Keep Christ in Christmas'. Prizes for the best essays are awarded and some students present their essays from the pulpit during Advent.
March for Life in Washington, D.C.
Open to all parishioners, join the Knights for a trip to the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. and participate in the March for Life. Our Knights support life at every stage from conception to natural death.
Connelly House Dinners
Organized by Dr. Bartholomew Tortella, our Council’s second Grand Knight, the Knights prepare a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and deliver it to the Connelly House in Philadelphia. The Knights share an evening of food and fraternity with men on their way to recovery from illness, job loss and addiction.
Annual 'Free Throw' Challenge
The Knights of Columbus 'Free Throw' Challenge is for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14. This is a wonderful opportunity, which provides an athletic outlet and encourages the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Kids compete within their own gender and age and can progress from local level to district, regional and state competitions.
Easter Egg Hunt
The Knights of Columbus 'Easter Egg Hunt' is a one of our signature events. Fun for the whole parish, the event is held annually on Palm Sunday. Kids get to meet the Easter Bunny before they dash for the eggs. All are welcome!
